Ohanian's "Classical electrodynamics" is a good book too, but I prefer Zangwill and Brau. There is a book written by Julian Schwinger (God bless Julian Schwinger) called "Classical electrodynamics" and there is "Principles of electrodynamics" by Melvin Schwartz.

Josh. out of 5 stars Quality Electrodynamics. book, Subpar by: Quantum electrodynamics is an essential building block and an integral part of the gauge theory of unified electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions, the so-called standard model.

Its failure or breakdown at some level would have a most profound impact on the theoretical foundations of elementary particle physics as a whole.

It quite depends on the level you wish to strike. For high school level I suggest University Physics (Sears, Young and Zemansky). Since it's theory is really illustrative, it can give you enough feel for the subject and can inculcate a bright int.

Schaum's Electomagnetics would show many basic and practical examples Griffith's book lacks. All of these suggestions would have made the book bigger, but the book is on the small side to begin with (7"x") compared to many other physics textbooks I've used.

For the topic of Electrodynamics a bigger Electrodynamics. book would have definitely been better/5().
